Is Donald Trump A Dictator?

Donald Trump stated recently that he is not a dictator, but he insisted that there are several Americans wouldn’t mind having a dictator. Many have met his comments with horror, but I wouldn’t necessarily say he is incorrect.

The trouble with the western elites is that many in Europeans countries also believe that a dictatorship could produce good results. Income inequality is exorbitantly high. Multi-national corporations rule their markets as feudal lords rule over their vast fiefdoms. And ordinary workers are mere serfs barely able to earn a sustainable living. Anyone observing the situation can see that corporate greed is ruling over the system, transforming America’s economy from a capitalist system to an oligarchic system. Employees as a whole suffer terribly. Employers terminate employees arbitrarily and hold no contrition when they wreck their lives. Employees’ wages are low commensurate with employers’s wages and employees’ adequate working conditions decrease while their work demands increase. It is an inequitable system that robs employees of their dignity as human beings and the radicals in both sides of the political spectrum are coming forth. For it is evident in history that the radicals come when conditions are so poor.

But one can see the cost of living is simply absurd for the average person. A house is valued at over 11 times the wages of an average person. Meanwhile, it was 2 to 3 times the wages of an average worker 50 years ago. College tuition has exploded. Many students have to take out massive student loans and struggle to get a job and successful pay back their loans. All the while, society still expect young people to get married and have children under these conditions. Unsurprisingly, young people are electing more and more not to have children. The western elites are baffled while the rest of the country is astonished at their lack of self-awareness and basic common sense.

But it isn’t just the economic burdens that have become unsustainable. It has also been the moral degeneracy. Sex is sold for very cheap on the internet. Obscenity has all but lost its meaning in present culture. And the very thought of dissent against a liberal-run system can plunge a person to financial and reputational ruin. The “woke” culture has pilfered the western culture that has made the West the envy of the world. This woke invasion is no different from the Soviet’s need to control the Russian population with fear, violence and intimidation. Once Gorbachev issued Glasnost and Perestroika, the Soviet Union was finished as no one wanted to be apart of it voluntarily. And the same will be true once “wokeism” perishes as an influential sociological and cultural force in the West.

Western culture is bereft of the same dynamism it possessed many years ago. And one can see the infiltration of corporate interests driving the culture. Profits alone are important. Media executives’ modus operandi is evidently this: There is no God but Money and corporations are its prophet. Media executives bow before corporations as General Pétain bowing before Adolf Hitler. Artistic expression and moral integrity be totally damned. The people can see rule of the corporate lords over their life in practically all the consequential areas of western society and they are tired of living with it.

But these conditions have been this way for a long time. For years, many western elites have said they would solve the problem but the problem has only exacerbated. It comes as no surprise that people are losing their desire to sustain a system that has put a millstone upon their backs to bear. And the burden is arduous and senseless to carry and they are desperate for relief. The people are turning to exercise measures to fix the problem and that extreme measure is Trump.

Trump is a Messiah figure for the masses. He comes astride in a donkey to Washington DC carrying the responsibility to be the Savior of western civilization. He is to right the wrongs that have been made. He is to restore America to its former glory. And he is to do it with the same ruthless means that the radical left have done. And just as the Roman plebeians cheered the name of Caesar to rule over a broken Roman Republic, so do some Americans cheer for Trump to rule over a broken America.

But should we be afraid of this? No. Trump doesn’t have enough power and influence to break America’s democracy. If he attempts to do so, it will push America into a Civil War. The best he can do is push the line as far as he can to see what he can do and not do.

The issue with Trump making this statement shouldn’t be that people would resort to breaking America’s democracy for a dictatorship. The issue is why the western elites have pushed people to come to this resolution in the first place. For the radical left practiced an incredibly ruthless campaign for cultural dominance, and so Trump and his elk must do the same. But it is practically impossible for Trump to be a dictator. He can only to be a reformer and nothing more.
